Phil says 6 more weeks of garage time
Well Punxsutawney Phil says the Snoett will stay in the garage for 6 more weeks. I guess that leaves time for an oil change and other eesentials
Hibernation Time :(
Time to put in the Sonett away for winter. We’ve gotten blasted and the roads are coated in the crappy ohio winter weather pretreat. The Jetta looks like a WWIII Veteran coated in White. We’ll update you on any part changes.
Day 321 – Tuesday December 1st
Today I took the car to school, first cold day that I have, ran well, but I got lots of belt slippage. No smoke clouds or burning oil smell though… I guess Dad and I will tighten the belt when I get home.
Day 317 – Friday November 27
The Saab just broke 37,000 miles the other day! Its been a good 1725 miles since we got the car! We’re hoping fora couple more nice days before the Ohio Winter decomission the car til spring!
Day 198 – Saturday August 29
Day 108 – Sunday May 31
They’re Multiplying! Today we met a fellow ‘74 Saab Sonett III owner in our own little town! He lives within 3 miles of our house, no seriously he was! The owner said he had heard and seen a glimpse of us driving around. Small world huh?
Day 79 – Saturday May 2
The end to our refurbishing story sadly ends here, but our fun with the car begins here too! The front end was placed back on the car and off we went. We drove down to the minit mart, got gas, a Diet Pepsi(Jeff) and a Pepsi Throwback(Adam/me). We then took a joyride and then out of nowhere i got to drive! I almost fried the transmission by pushing to far left and into reverse but Dad caught it quick enough(well i noticed the grinding noise first but he desevres som credit lol). Well heres our first pics of the full car, plenty more will come along with our ventures into the world of Sonetts. Which will hopefully include a second car by the end of this year. *hint* *hint*
if you want high def pics post a comment and ill shoot u an email with the ones you want
Day 78 – Friday May 1
Adam(me) got to put the trunk back together. Fairly simple task except finding the glue took some time. Heres some pics.
Day 66 – Sunday April 19 until Day 77 – Thursday April 30
We had been waiting for the fuel sender and then on Wednesday it finally came! Unfortunately we didn’t take any pics and we installed it back into the car on Thursday.
Day 65 – Saturday April 18
With the Saab now running we will only post when new activity occurs.
We replaced the clutch line from the reservoir to the master as it was leaking. A 1/4 inch hose was used, it was really tight and we loosened it with a screw driver in the end so it would go on easier. This should end the fluid on the floor.
